Morgan Cycle was founded by bicycle engineer Sylvester Yen, who has 2 decades experience designing and manufacturing children's bicycles for some of America's most prominent bike companies. While the industry raced to produce cheaper products, Sylvester dreamed of offeri
ng to discerning parents the most beautiful, safe and finely crafted ride-on toys. Our first product, the elegantly streamlined Morgan tricycle, was inspired by the original 1936 Van Doren design that captured the hearts of generations of Americans. Harold Van Doren was a pioneering industrial designer in the emerging American Industrial Age. "Simple solidity" is the hallmark of Van Doren's work, and his range included gas pumps for the Wayne Pump Company, refrigerators for Philco, stoves for Westinghouse, and the iconic Maytag washing machine. Since the initial Morgan tricycle, we have listened to our loyal customers and continued to design cars, scooters, bikes, sleighs, gas pumps, and more.
