So I bought a clear bag and strap from Hobby Lobby tonight for my mom for an event we’re going to that requires them. I got home tonight and noticed the bag had no hooks for a strap. We leave in the morning. Sooo…I used some leather, shape punch and rivets. A few trials and errors later…voi la!

5 years ago on a girls trip to Pigeon Forge, we took a drive into Cherokee, NC. I saw this old motel sign and couldn’t turn into the parking lot fast enough to get pictures because I knew I had to paint it. I had to recreate the background week sans gas station. There’s actual rust using oxidized iron I used. The picture doesn’t do it justice. One of my two favorite 2’x3’ paintings.

Practicing painting in a different medium, other than acrylic. Watercolor is challenging because it’s easy to muddy up the colors versus acrylic where layering colors and popping in highlights are easier. This is my furbaby, Jinx.
