Molly is a very special bride. She has incorporated so many personal moments and details from the past into her and Brett's wedding day.
Her mom and grandma both carried cascading bouquets of gardenia and ivy.
When she asked if I could make her the same bouquet I was excited about it but also had to warn her how fragile gardenias truly are.
I actually wondered as I carefully removed each flower from its packaging, cross wired each flower, added a water "diaper" and hand taped each stem without touching one delicate petal, how many designers today are trained in this method of bouquet creation.
This is truly a "hand tied" bouquet. I believe the last one I made was circa 1999.
This morning, my studio was filled with the lovely scent of gardenia and I was taken back to many years ago and some secrets only the hands of a well-trained designer truly understand.
This one was special for me and for this precious bride 🩷
