The next Nomad Party Bus Book Crawl is officially happening SUNDAY, September 27—yep, SUNDAY! Our first Sunday crawl.

And we’re calling this one the DUMPSTER FIRE EDITION because, in more ways than one, this summer has been an absolute fu***ng dumpster fire.

So we’re closing that chapter the only way that makes sense:

Get on a bus. Buy some books. Meet some excellent humans. 📚

👀 TWO mystery independent bookstores we’ve NEVER visited on a crawl

Someone told us during this last crawl:

“I found my tribe.”

And, damn, y’all. That got me.

We started these Party Bus Book Crawls because riding around New Orleans with a bunch of book lovers, discovering independent bookstores and buying entirely too many books sounded like a really good time.

But somewhere along the way, it became more than that.

This time we explored Old Arabi Lighthouse Records & Books, Community Book Center, AND squeezed in a bonus stop at Frenchmen Art & Books before heading back to Algiers Point for the perfect afterparty at Little House.

Live music. W**e. Boiled peanuts. Charcuterie. And one packed family-style table full of people laughing, comparing hauls, talking books and getting to know each other.

Some came with friends. Some came alone.

And someone left saying they’d found their tribe.

THAT is why we’re doing it again. 🚌📚

September events are UP & they’re lit 🔥
Also gearing up for spooky season at the bookstore - watch for some fun, new, interactive ways to get into the Halloween spirit. 👀

Tickets will drop for our monthly Party Bus Book Crawl this Friday, Sept 4th. We’re hosting it on a Sunday this time around in true fashion.

Tickets for an interactive Séance event with Kitsie Duncan | witch•author•feral AF will drop next week with very limited seating. Stay tuned for more details.

So… THIS is what a haul from a Nomad Party Bus Book Crawl looks like. 😂📚

Two mystery bookstores and I came home with books, a shirt, incense, palo santo, and absolutely zero regrets.

One of my favorite parts of these crawls is getting to discover and spend money with other independent bookstores and the cool small businesses surrounding them.

The bus may be home, but the haul lives on. 🚌

More from the actual crawl coming soon because THAT deserves its own Reel.

Two mystery bookstores. Both brand new to the crawl. 👀

PLUS they’re surrounded by some seriously cool small businesses we’ll get to explore & support along the way.

Then at 6:30 PM, the bus drops us at Little House for the after party—live music, food, pop-ups, w**e, and plenty of time to compare book hauls, talk about the crawl, and hang out with all the new friends we just spent three hours making.

THIS SATURDAY, AUGUST 29 we’re loading up another crew for three hours of drinks, books, mystery bookstore stops, and whatever the hell happens on the bus in between.

3:30 PM SHARP — Bus leaves Nomad
6:30 PM — Drop-off + after party at Little House

W**e + hors d’oeuvres will be waiting at Little House, along with live music, food, pop-ups, and plenty of time to show off our book hauls.

The bookstores? Secret until Saturday.
