We’re so happy to have HumbleBeez as part of the Rooted & Refined family!

HumbleBeez creates a wonderful variety of handmade pieces, and there’s always something interesting to discover. Currently in the shop, you’ll find beautiful candles, cinnamon-scented angel brooms, pictures, Maine-themed signs, and hand-painted round boxes, and unique decor. All perfect for adding a little handmade charm to your home or finding a special gift.

And we’re especially excited because HumbleBeez will be joining us for a Wool Needle Felting Workshop this September!

Participants will get to learn the basics of needle felting and create their very own adorable wool felted owl with Janet from HumbleBeez. It’s going to be a fun, creative afternoon and a great chance to try something new!

There’s something wonderfully magical about handmade things, and Imperfections Artist brings that magic to Rooted & Refined in some of the most unique ways!

This local artist creates beautiful handmade cobweb brooms, crafted in the spirit of an old-fashioned tradition. Cobweb brooms have been used for generations to reach those high corners, beams, and tucked-away spaces where cobwebs love to hide. Their long, lightweight design makes them both wonderfully functional and beautifully rustic.

But that's not all...

You’ll also find her tiny brooms, made to help you sweep your dreams away. Whether you take that literally, keep one beside your bed, or simply love the whimsical idea behind them, they make such a fun little gift or keepsake.

We have the beautiful work of Joan Proudman Art at Rooted & Refined!

Joan creates truly unique greeting cards by combining her own photographic imagery with digital illustration. The result is a wonderful collection of artwork that can be whimsical, humorous, elegant, thought-provoking, and sometimes just a little bit magical.

Joan describes herself as someone who has always loved creating fantasy worlds. Her artistic journey has taken her from a lifelong love of drawing to earning her BFA later in life, along with a long career in dance and theater—experiences that have helped shape the dramatic and imaginative style you'll see in her work.

Her art has been featured in books, magazines, online journals, and on book and CD covers, and her work has received recognition in several juried competitions and publications. She has even received Best in Show for her portfolio and a Special Mention in a national art competition. Her work has also been featured in the Maine Arts Journal.

Each card features one of her carefully crafted original compositions, is printed one at a time on beautiful bright white cardstock, and comes with an envelope and protective sleeve. The inside is blank, making them perfect for birthdays, thank-yous, celebrations, or simply sending someone a little bit of art and joy through the mail.

We have triple crust peach pies in mini loaf pans, smores scones and jalapeno popper scones in the shop this morning. Peaches are fresh from Bessey Ridge Farms in Albion, jalapenos are fresh from our home garden!

Art with a history spanning thousands of years—that's what you'll discover with Clara's Cove.

Clara creates beautiful encaustic art jewelry and handcrafted note cards using an ancient technique that dates back to the Greeks and was famously used in the stunning Fayum portraits of ancient Egypt. Encaustic art combines beeswax and pigment to create rich colors, luminous layers, and incredible texture, making every piece truly one of a kind.
