The Texas Violin Shop The Texas Violin Shop is a full service shop for bowed stringed instruments. We sell, rent, repair and offer lessons for violin, viola, cello and bass.

We're here to help reach your musical goals whether your a beginner or professional musician. The Texas Violin Shop is a family run business owned by Estefan and Samantha Cortez. Estefan and Samantha both grew up in New York and fell in love while working together in the bowed stringed instrument industry. Together we share a passion for music, love for this industry, and are pursuing our dreams t

o create a community of players and luthiers around each other. The Texas Violin Shop recognizes the need musicians have for a quality and affordable instrument. Together we established the Texas Violin Shop to share our expertise with the community around us. We sell, rent, repair and offer lessons on violin, viola, cello and bass. Our mission is to provide our community with the education and means necessary to succeed in a players musical goals.

Is this the droid you’re looking for?

While waiting for its people to return, this R5 unit took a tour of our shop. Starting its journey in the lesson room, it picked up some musical whimsy followed by stops to check out rosin, a recharge in one of our Musafia style violin cases, and ended with a run around the viola room.

You don’t have to be a droid to leisurely wind through the shop and peruse. Stop by today- we would love to show you around and help you find everything you need for your next intergalactic music adventure.

Okay, okay, we don’t have lions but we do have instruments! Join us this Friday from 5-7p and Saturday from 10a-noon for our next instrument petting zoo. Tag your family and friends who have new orchestra students or who may need a nudge to take the leap themselves to picking up a string instrument!

We also have our next Adult Fiddling workshop this Saturday from 4:30-6p. This event is 21+. Cost is $20 at the door for participants and RSVP is required. We have a few spots remaining so let us know you want to play along! Call 210-900-7609 to save your seat!
