Curent project going pretty swimmingly. However, the grinder that arrived was significantly smaller than what I ordered. An improvement from my 1x30, but not what I was hoping for (2×42). Will try and get that sorted. Anyway, this is a good sized price of leaf spring that was forged to shape and cleaned up a bit. Got the handle material selected and cut out, now onto the pins. Paduk and oak for wood, brass pins. Stay tuned and stay safe out there.

Few days worth of work on some new blades. Leafspring, Antler, maple, and spalted maple. New bit of equipment arrived, should cut down on time spent grinding significantly. Stay tuned, and stay safe.

All set up ready to go at the Wakefield VFW 8am-3pm. Lots of crafts and baked goods for all.

Bit of an update, have handles on, finishing up sharpening and then onto the sheaths. Also plan on starting the requested rail spike knife, so hope to have the swords and a few spike knives ready for the Ironwood farmers market on Friday in depot park at 4pm. Decent progress made on a couple new swords. Thinking another couple hours of forging to go. Already around 4 hrs forge time in plus cutting the chunks out. Need a bit of a breather. Also huge thank you to all who attended Pride Fest in Ashland. Was a lot of fun. Stay tuned, and stay safe out there.

Some progress made. Wrench will end up being the handle for the longer blade. Short guy will get some form of wooden handle. Looks like I have lots of grinding to do, so better get to it. Carry on. Stay safe.
