We are learning!!!!!

I haven’t cut these bad boys open yet, but Bread Sheeran has produced two stunning loaves!

I did forget to turn the oven down for a little bit so the smaller loaf got a tad bit crispy on the ear but all in all they look and sound great.

Now I have to wait what feels like an ETERNITY to cut them open and check out the crumb. I will post pictures in the comments once I can cut it!

This has been such a fun little journey already. Next up will be some mini loaves to share with my amazing teammates on Swan City Roller Derby

Well…that was unexpected. 🤣

I think I’ve been asking myself the wrong question.

I’ve spent a long time wondering, “What should I focus on?”

Maybe the better question is, “How do all of these things fit together?”

Riot Writes Chaos was never meant to be one hobby.

It was meant to be a home for all of them.

I had applied a few months ago to the Amazon Influencer Program and I’d honestly forgotten about it until today. I randomly checked again tonight, just to see what would happen… and somehow ended up with a storefront!

I will not promise “big things coming!” as we all know how that goes by now…but I am going to give it a go. It’ll allow me to share some of my favorite things that I regularly use that help make my life easier and maybe it can help someone else!

Then tonight Riddick couldn’t sleep, so I cut him a warm slice.

He took one bite and said, “Mom…I don’t want to swallow it.”

I asked why.

He looked at me completely serious and said,

“I have to be honest with you…this is the best bread I’ve ever had.”

He may not be the prettiest loaf I’ve ever made but I don’t think any “prettier” version of Bread Sheeran will ever top that review.

A little over 10 years ago, I was closing the chapter on a decade of chaos.

At the time, I had no idea where the next chapter would lead. I just knew I couldn’t keep writing the same story.

Today, I turn 36.

And today, The Chaos That Built Me officially launches into the world.

Not only do I get to hold a published book about everything that decade taught me, but I get to look around my life and see where those lessons eventually led.

A husband who loves me through all my forms of gremlin behavior.

Kids who somehow think I’m the responsible adult in the house.

Friends who became family.

A home filled with laughter, projects, half-finished ideas, and approximately 47 things that definitely did not belong where I found them.

A life that younger me couldn’t have imagined while she was busy setting metaphorical fires and then standing in the smoke wondering why she couldn’t see.

To every Kickstarter backer who believed in this project before it was a real book, thank you.

You believed in a draft, a dream, and a story that was still finding its shape. Because of your support, this book exists. Because of your encouragement, it made it into the world.

Today is my birthday.

Today is launch day.

And for the first time in a very long time, I’m not looking back at the chaos.

I’m looking at everything it built.

First real run post-concussion: complete. ✅

We ran a 5K. Which is pretty normal these days.

Was it the PR I was secretly hoping for? No. 😂

I was under fueled (not my proudest moment), coming back from a concussion, and trying to balance “push yourself” with “please don’t be an idiot.”

BUT… it ended up being the longest I’ve run consecutively.

So maybe this wasn’t the PR I expected… but it was still a PR.

Healing, rebuilding, showing up, and discovering your body can still do cool things after a setback?

I’ll absolutely take it.

My HR still likes to be dramatic, but it looks like I may be ready for full contact again at derby and I’m pretty excited about that!

E-books went out this week to founding readers/Kickstarter supporters.

The Pattern Audit and Architect Workbooks went out this week.

The Printable Choose Steady Reflection Deck will go out tomorrow.

The Ember Files will go out sometime before the official public book release (June 23-my birthday).
