Underhill Worm Farm

Underhill Worm Farm At Underhill Worm Farm, growing soil, gardens and community starts with worms.

From our small farm in Pueblo West, Colorado, we produce worm castings and worm tea, raise composting worms, and help gardeners grow stronger, healthier plants naturally.

A very tiny new arrival at Underhill Worm Farm.

This is a red wiggler hatching from a cocoon. Newly hatched worms are extremely small and nearly transparent, and they gradually develop their familiar reddish color as they grow.

It’s one of those parts of vermicomposting that usually happens completely out of sight, so I was pretty excited to catch it on video.

Meet the team behind Underhill Worm Farm.

I’m Linnie, founder and educator. I handle the workshops, the website, and all tasks requiring thumbs.

Huckleberry (Head of Security, Good Boy) patrols the outdoor operation for deer, rabbits, and other suspicious characters.

Bubbles (Operations Manager, Good Girl) oversees indoor operations and conducts frequent inspections of keyboards, desks, and laps.

And, of course, the worms are our production team, working around the clock to turn local food waste into garden gold.

The team is busy getting everything ready: composting worms, soil-building products, workshops, and vermicomposting education.

Friday was Underhill Worm Farm’s first event.

We’re honored to be one of Minnequa Works Credit Union's Fueling Futures Grant recipients. On Friday, we joined them for Fueling Futures Night at the Pueblo Riverwalk. I spent the evening talking about worms, composting, gardens, and the workshops I’m putting together.

We’re looking forward to bringing our products and workshops to you soon. If you’d like to hear when they’re available, you can sign up for updates at underhillwormfarm.com.

Thanks to Minnequa Works and everyone who stopped by the table, asked questions, and met the worms. It was a great first event for Underhill, and I’m looking forward to doing more.

Hi, I’m Linnie, and this is Underhill Worm Farm. 🪱

I started Underhill to help people turn food scraps into healthier soil, whether they’re starting a worm bin, improving a garden, or simply curious about vermicomposting.

Composting worms, soil-building products, and educational workshops are all on the way. The website is live now, and the online shop is coming soon.

For now, follow along here or sign up for occasional updates about products, workshops and life around the farm: https://www.underhillwormfarm.com

Next up: meet the rest of the team. The worms do most of the work, but the cat and dog have both claimed management positions. I’m just here to keep everyone fed and pretend I’m in charge.
