🚍🔧 NOW HIRING – TRANSPORTATION MAINTENANCE MECHANIC 🔧🚍
Carpenters Local 1820 is currently accepting applications for Transportation Maintenance Mechanic – Vehicle Maintenance & Heavy Equipment positions at Walt Disney World Resort.
💰 Starting Pay: $29.59 per hour
This is a full-time position responsible for maintaining and repairing Disney’s fleet of passenger vehicles, SUVs, light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty trucks.
Minimum Qualifications
• Valid Florida CDL Class B Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement, or the ability to obtain a Florida CDL Class B Permit by time of hire.
• Minimum of 4 years of GM mechanical experience working on passenger vehicles, SUVs, light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty trucks.
• Must have or be able to obtain the following certifications within 90 days of hire:
* MVAC 609 Refrigerant Recovery Certification
* ASE A-5 Brakes
* ASE A-7 Air Conditioning
* ASE T-4 Brakes
• Working knowledge of preventative maintenance inspections, DOT annual inspections, routine repairs, troubleshooting, computer controls, fuel injection systems, anti-lock brake systems, emissions systems, and hydraulic lift gates.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to work with handheld electronic devices (radios, iPhones, tablets, etc.).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work from ladders and elevated platforms.
• Must be highly motivated and reliable.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others as part of a productive and diverse team.
• Shift and days off will be determined based on operational needs.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience maintaining heavy-duty trucks, including Mitsubishi, Isuzu, Ford, International, and Kenworth.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines and air brake systems.
• AC Delco Training.
• EPA Universal or EPA 608 Type II Certification.
