She uses her art as a way of working through her disability and is a proud member of the lgBt+ community. A.F.A. Foundations Exhibition 📸🖤

This exhibition is dedicated to some of the works from the required foundations courses for those majoring in Fine Arts at DCCC. The last time I was in one of these qualifying courses was Fall 2025, and I honestly completely forgot that I submitted pieces for it… so when I got the email that I had work selected for it, I was super excited!

All of my pieces came from my digital photography class and include a pet portrait, a gradient scanograph, a staged still life, and a scenic nature photograph. This exhibit is open until October 9th, Monday through Friday, 10am - 5pm at DCCC’s Marple campus art gallery, check it out!!!

Lightning Bug at 2am
At some point over the summer I had a visitor in the middle of the night!!! I thought it was a lot of things before realizing it was just a friend, a friend that was trapped in my hair. I spent literally half an hour (while half asleep) gently freeing it from my tangled hair. It eventually was rescued, so l opened the window, and it flew out into the night sky!!

Dollywise🎈🦋

A digital drawing mashup tribute for Dolly Parton and Tim Curry. I first learned about Dolly Parton in the same way so many other kids my age did, through Hannah Montana as Aunt Dolly! I only just recently watched Nine to Five for the first time a few months ago and absolutely loved it. I had heard her song most of my life but had no idea what the movie was about and dang was I surprised!!! Tim Curry was probably on my screen for the time alongside the Muppets in Muppet Treasure Island, but I didn’t learn his name and face until I was old enough to watch horror movies, and then he became Pennywise to me!

Fabric Still Life

I made this over a year ago and honestly… I’m not a fan. This was my first time painting fabric (more like trying to paint fabric) and it was haarrrdddd! It was absolutely not a successful outcome but I definitely did learn a good amount about painting in general and painting different textures, and I’m confident I could do a much better job if I tried again. I’ve actually already painted over this entire canvas so technically this piece doesn’t exist anymore. I still wanted to share it on my social media as a way to laugh about the fails and look forward to my improvements :))))

Custom Tim Burton Style Portrait
& a custom piece of me and Zap by Riley Gallagher

I did a trade with another artist and these are the results! The first photo is what I made - a custom digital drawing of Riley and her girlfriend in a Tim Burton style work with a Nightmare Before Christmas background (specifically, the stage in the town hall). It’s always such an interesting thing to have to grey wash the real colors from the reference photos, but that’s what makes the style! I also had the super fun idea to change the real life butterfly tattoo to a Co**se Bride butterfly tattoo, in keeping with the theme. The second photo is what Riley made - a custom piece of me and my pet parrot in her unique and adorable style. I gave such little info on what I wanted and it came out absolutely perfect. Personalized Digital Rework of Aurélie Guillaume’s ‘Philomène’ (2016)

I went to the Philadelphia Museum of Art and absolutely loved this enamel piece by Aurélie Guillaume, as it sort of reminded me of myself and my bird. I decided to draw a digital likeness of it, changing several details to have it appear more like the two of us.

I’m obsessed with Obsession!! The acting, the plot, the costumes, the INSANELY cool practical effects, the makeup, the literally everything!!! I feel as though so many horror movies are just scary, but this is a great story that happens to be scary. I absolutely loved this movie and immediately wanted to make some art for it, and I also really want these Funkos to exist so I can buy them. There’s definitely more art from this film to come from me in the future, and probably a Halloween costume!!

Bee Print Patterned Cropped Crewneck🐝

I made this bee lino cut print I don’t even know how many years ago and have used it a few times, since my love for bees is so strong. I recently thrifted this cropped yellow crewneck thinking it would be a perfect canvas for this print, and it was! I absolutely love upcycling my old clothes and thrifted pieces, especially if it means putting a fast fashion brand like this one to actual good use. I’m excited to eventually wear this when the weather allows, and hopefully get a few compliments :))))

Sad Girls do it all!!! Some of these are more on the positive side while others are a bit, well more sad :(: They all have a cute blue aesthetic vibe going with the funky font and checkered background! I’m taking requests for more of these, either additions to the existing genres or totally new themes! Let me know in the comments what you want to see!

Icebox Project Space

The opening reception was so much fun with so many people!! I saw old friends, met up with recent classmates from art school, and talked to strangers about our art! This exhibit is open through August 16th on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays and is absolutely worth checking out! There are over 500 works from hundreds of different artists in countless mediums, and all extremely unique from one another. This gallery is such a great representation of not only the art community in Philly, but Philadelphia as a whole. What an honor to see my own art surrounded by such impressive works! Everyone at Icebox Project Space did such a great job putting this massive show together, and they let me make the flier for the opening which was cool! If you do stop by, please check out my piece, it’s at the very front :)) and it’s for sale :)))))

Also, I just really liked the b***s portion of ‘Guts’ by Rose Luardo and Emma Copley Eisenberg 🍒
