Some weddings leave an impression. Others leave your heart completely full. 💗

This past weekend was one of those celebrations we’ll carry with us for a long time.

It’s hard to put into words how much this wedding meant to our entire team. We had the privilege of working with the kindest family, alongside an incredible team of creative partners who poured so much heart into every detail.

Watching these spaces transform from empty rooms into something that felt warm, elegant, and truly magical reminded us why we love what we do.

From the floral designs to the custom draping, linens, lighting, décor, signage, and all of the thoughtful details in between, this weekend reflected so many of the things Bella Flora loves creating. Every piece worked together to tell one beautiful story, and seeing our clients experience it all for the first time made every hour worthwhile.

Our hearts are so full of gratitude - for clients who trust us completely, for the friendships that grow throughout the planning process, and for a team that never stops caring about the little things.

Today, Sunday, was Maggie & Ben’s Day!

Maggie (once upon a time was a stressed bride) came to visit our team not long ago and wanted to hand over the reigns to us and said DO YOUR THING. To that we said, sure thing - we’ve got you! :)

No photos, no Pinterest board…not someone whose spent hours and hours dreaming of what she wanted. A little refreshing, if you ask us!

It didn’t take long and we got her organized. From there, her stress melted away and she just got to show up.

A gorgeous chuppah at the Tifereth Israel Synagogue followed by a chic reception at the Des Moines Art Center

We had a LOT to celebrate on the last weekend in June.

First up, Alex and Trevor.

The sweetest, most trusting, grateful, appreciative and kind couple. And, I have to add, organized 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

We had so much fun helping put this day together from the ceiling drapery/greenery, strung crystals, linens, centerpieces, floral and signage.

From the church to the reception, we delivered, setup, transferred and removed everything you see 💗

The Hecht’s - 6.20.26 🖤

One of the most impactful additions to a ceremony space is often the simplest: a floor-to-ceiling fabric backdrop.

While this venue already has beautiful windows and existing drapery, adding a seamless backdrop creates a fresh, clean canvas that allows every detail in front of it to truly shine. The cross becomes more prominent. The florals feel more intentional. The couple remains the focal point.

Sometimes it’s not about covering something that isn’t beautiful—it’s about eliminating visual distractions so the elements you’ve carefully selected can have their moment.

We’ve been quiet because we’ve been so busy helping people celebrate ✨

We have a lot to catch up on!

First, was one of the sweetest - yet quickest - turn arounds for a wedding we’ve had for an event this year…and it was destiny because it was so meaningful for our team to be a part of.

Jill came to us around a month before her wedding to ask help with linens, floral and decor. She and her fiance were both widows and found love again when no one was really looking for it. A story that unfolded in a way that, when being told, felt so perfectly divine.

Two people very involved with their church and whose faith is strong.

First was a meaningful ceremony in this incredibly beautifully renovated church followed by a cocktail reception in the church quarters.

Our favorite moment? Watching them dance together by themselves at the end of the night when all the guests left, a moment so touching to witness I had to capture it!

Just the perfect balance of everything that made their day come together in all the right ways ✨

There are some events that stay with you long after the last candle is extinguished.

This past Saturday, we had the privilege of helping bring the annual Rally Against Cancer Gala to life. From vibrant florals to colorful linens and thoughtful décor details, we love playing a small part in creating an atmosphere that brings people together in support of cancer patients and their families.

What makes this event especially meaningful year after year is the incredible community behind it. The staff, organizers, and volunteers pour their hearts into every detail, and it is always a joy to work alongside such passionate, dedicated people.

Thank you for allowing us to help create a beautiful evening for an even more beautiful cause. 💙🩷🧡

Earlier this week it was little pig fairy gardens, and today, it was fitting flowers for our most favorite four legged friend.

Just over here taking a quick break from weddings to build pig fairy gardens 🐽

Today’s creative challenge? “Pig fairy gardens” for the World Pork Expo

From tiny bridges and winding stone paths, to succulent-filled/mossy landscapes and a few adventurous pigs, we got to brainstorm, source, and bring the vision to life.

We’re grateful for clients who trust us with an idea and give us the freedom to figure out the magic.

Projects like these remind us that creativity isn’t about doing the same thing beautifully - it’s about finding new ways to create something unexpected every time ✨

Happy Mother’s Day to alllll the women who make the magic happen. 🌸

This week, our internal team of 10 incredible women had been designing, lifting, creating, styling, problem-solving, encouraging, and pouring their hearts into every event we touch. And 8 of them are also moms.

Behind every beautiful floral photo is a group of women quietly managing a thousand details, setting the standard, shaping the energy of the team, and then heading home to do the very same for their families.

The beauty they create doesn’t stop at flowers. It’s in the way they care for people, lead with strength, love deeply, and somehow make it all look effortless.

Feeling especially grateful for these women today.

Bella Flora is better because of them. 💕
