115 tables.
4 trucks and vans packed to the brim.
And many, many weeks of work behind the scenes. ❤️💛

Yesterday we were back at Iowa State University for another event - Order of the Knoll, the Iowa State University Foundation’s prestigious donor recognition program and giving society.

This year’s centerpiece concept was especially unique. Every botanical element in the table arrangements were once living and had been carefully preserved, bleached and/or treated so we could create these vibrant compositions in Iowa State’s signature reds and golds.

Our team sourced, prepared and designed 130 individual arrangements - each created to live well beyond the event.

At the end of the evening, the guests loved taking home these centerpieces - a fun memento for those who bleed red and gold.

The Foundation even created care cards for each arrangement with instructions for preserving the arrangements — a detail we especially loved because they included a little nod to Bella Flora ❤️💛

There is so much that doesn’t show in the finished photos: weeks of sourcing and preparation, countless design hours, 115 tables of linens and décor, careful packing, four vehicles of product, delivery, setup…and one very hardworking team.

Laborious? Absolutely. Unique? Definitely. Worth it when we saw it all come together? 100%.

Every once in a while, we get a reminder that the work we do is noticed.

Tonight, Iowa State University celebrated a very generous alumnus and donor with a special dedication event - and we had the honor of helping design the celebration.

What made this one especially meaningful?

We had never met the couple before. But they had seen our work at other Iowa State events over the years and specifically asked for Bella Flora to be part of this one.

After 22 years of designing events, there is something incredibly rewarding about knowing that the details we pour ourselves into are being noticed - even when we don’t realize it.

Feeling quietly proud of our team tonight, and very grateful to be trusted with moments that mean so much. We love our ISU partnerships and projects ❤️💛

What a day 🤍

Today we showcased at our city’s largest bridal show and 22 years into this business, days like this still feel pretty special.

We met so many wonderful couples, caught up / laughed and loved on so many of our favorite vendor friends, and heard a few comments that absolutely made our day …

“We came today just to see you!”
“This is my Pinterest board come to life.”

There’s something incredibly rewarding about meeting couples who are excited about their day and getting to talk through all the ways our team can help bring their vision to life — from floral and event design to décor and planning.

After 22 years, we still love the ideas, the details, the dreaming and the transformation just as much as ever.

One bridal show introduction → One very cool couple → One incredible wedding. 🖤

We first met Julie + Jeff at the Wedding Show Productions bridal show much like the one we’ll be attending next weekend. They came to us looking for help with floral, décor and overall event design - and this one felt especially meaningful because Julie is a designer herself.

There’s something pretty special about another creative trusting your team with their vision. She knew what she loved, had a strong point of view, and trusted us to take all of those ideas and execute the details beautifully.

Some weddings leave an impression. Others leave your heart completely full. 💗

This past weekend was one of those celebrations we’ll carry with us for a long time.

It’s hard to put into words how much this wedding meant to our entire team. We had the privilege of working with the kindest family, alongside an incredible team of creative partners who poured so much heart into every detail.

Watching these spaces transform from empty rooms into something that felt warm, elegant, and truly magical reminded us why we love what we do.

From the floral designs to the custom draping, linens, lighting, décor, signage, and all of the thoughtful details in between, this weekend reflected so many of the things Bella Flora loves creating. Every piece worked together to tell one beautiful story, and seeing our clients experience it all for the first time made every hour worthwhile.

Our hearts are so full of gratitude - for clients who trust us completely, for the friendships that grow throughout the planning process, and for a team that never stops caring about the little things.

Today, Sunday, was Maggie & Ben’s Day!

Maggie (once upon a time was a stressed bride) came to visit our team not long ago and wanted to hand over the reigns to us and said DO YOUR THING. To that we said, sure thing - we’ve got you! :)

No photos, no Pinterest board…not someone whose spent hours and hours dreaming of what she wanted. A little refreshing, if you ask us!

It didn’t take long and we got her organized. From there, her stress melted away and she just got to show up.

A gorgeous chuppah at the Tifereth Israel Synagogue followed by a chic reception at the Des Moines Art Center

First up, Alex and Trevor.

The sweetest, most trusting, grateful, appreciative and kind couple. And, I have to add, organized 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

We had so much fun helping put this day together from the ceiling drapery/greenery, strung crystals, linens, centerpieces, floral and signage.

From the church to the reception, we delivered, setup, transferred and removed everything you see 💗
