It's been a while! I took a long hiatus from social media but I'm back to ramble about rocks and unload some inventory.

These incredible, pint sized are 😊 Okay so they're not true diamonds, despite the misleading moniker, but that doesn't make them any less special - trust me. These gems are actually mined specifically in the Herkimer area of New York State.

These ultra clear, often double terminated stones are formed in vugs, or cavities, that developed due to acidic waters penetrating their Dolomite host. Within these voids, silica laden waters combined with heat and pressure to very slowly form these beautiful 😍

Additionally, Herkimer Diamonds commonly host hydrocarbon inclusions such as Petroleum and Anthraxolite, often varying in hue and UV reactions, but have also been found to house gas or water pockets within their walls. Yes! Enhydros!
