I told a mom yesterday - I had a furby once… is this kind of like that? lol 🤣

Not gunna lie I feel like a cool mom right now , I had no idea about this craze to be honest, and you guys could honestly thank Jaelyn because she was the one who overheard me talking to a customer on the phone who was frantically looking for a butter squishy 😂

At the time I didn’t have anything like that but the woman told me “ please start carrying things like this I’d rather support you” and when I hung up my mini was right behind me with her mouth open asking if I could even get stuff like that lol

Now I had no idea that these would be the “dupe” versions of the popular brands and I thought I royally messed up and was stuck with a whole entire section I’d have to take as a loss- BUT OMG

You guys don’t mind at all and your kids especially have made our entire week lol might just stop selling women’s clothes and be an entirely different business 🤸🏼‍♀️🤣

Getting roasted by Claude about my instagram presence was pretty spot on in things I knew however it mentioned in the times I showed up as my authentic self I seem to only post about how overwhelmed I am and that that can lead to my following or new customers thinking I’m an unreliable brand…

So I can only imagine what someone might think of this moment unless they are apart of the dead mom or dad club too and survive life’s trauma with a good sense of humor 🤸🏼‍♀️🧍🏼‍♀️🤣

To think I literally told myself to not be weird before filming.

In my defense- moving last year from a large home with a garage to a tiny home with no garage- rise has been a literal safe space for a handful of treasures - just like my moms old urn 🧍🏼‍♀️🤣

The chaos that transpired over the graphic tee sale in the best of ways was the dopamine rush we all needed.. so much so I added a $25 denim tab and brought it back for a limited time while supplies last…. These are styles that aren’t restockable as we make room for more shorts and summer apparel - my loss is your gain, but is it a loss if it makes for happy customers and more room on the sales floor for my impulsive weekly new arrivals spiral?

It’s a win win over here in my brain even if the math ain’t math’n 🤸🏼‍♀️

❤️ Toys age ranges are from 3/4-10/12 but we don’t judge , come see us, share something positive about your school year and/or bring a report card to brag about ANYthing - and I mean anything - we’re not looking at your GPA here … you should see me help my 5th grader with their math homework 🤣❤️

I can’t believe it’s been 10 months already, but I want to celebrate one of the best months for our small businesses back here in the reclaimed room! I’ve been working hard on figuring out ways to make this hidden gem more known, and the vibe evolves every day… but to watch so many new people who may not necessarily be in for “Rise” but love a slower non fast fashion pace with some of the coolest finds…

If you’ve ever been to Main Street in placerville you know, the vintage and thrift is such a cool experience .. and being able to bring that here, has been so healing in different ways for me!

Based off of the number of overstimulated Mom’s who have frantically walked into Rise before our 12 noon open time because I’ve left the door unlocked for deliveries and the awkward oh shoot you’re not open faces as I’m knee deep in chaos and completely unaware of my surroundings 🤣 I have made the decision to open at 10am AND stay open later til 7pm for my workin girlies..

Truth be told I changed the hours to noon open time because the burnout I was facing doing so many things alone I literally had to find a way to save my mental health- but guess what?? I hired a store manager AND an assistant manager and for once in my life asked for help and wait for it…. Let them help me 🧍🏼‍♀️🤣

So with the small over share said- we have a team here that’s ready for your overstimulated self and can hold space for whatever that means for you and the day, while this says summer- our hopes that the local support and efforts of pursuing online growth as well will provide in a way to keep us not only staffed but open longer hours 🫶🏼❤️
