I know there are some that just look lovely as is, but that defeats my purpose. :o). If y

On May 21, 1892, Vacaville welcomed some very special visitors.

A 10-car train carrying representatives from the National Editorial Association arrived as part of a tour of agricultural regions throughout the western United States. Their stop in Vacaville gave them an opportunity to see firsthand the orchards and fruit-growing industry for which our community was becoming known.

Local fruit growers met the visitors at the Southern Pacific depot, arriving with wagons and buggies to transport them out to the surrounding ranches and orchards.

And Vacaville made sure they received a proper welcome. Wagons, buggies, businesses and homes were decorated for the occasion, while crowds gathered near the depot.

This photograph captures that remarkable day more than 130 years ago, when agriculture wasn't simply part of Vacaville, it was helping establish the town's identity and reputation throughout the West.

A pretty incredible glimpse into the community that helped build the Vacaville we know today.

Okay, this one is just FUN. 🤍

This beautiful vintage French Provincial server may look petite, but she has a little secret — both sides of the top flip open, creating tons of extra serving space when you need it!

Perfect for entertaining, holidays, a coffee or dessert bar, or styled beautifully in a dining or living space. And when the party is over? Fold the sides back in and she has a much smaller footprint.

Finished in a soft, timeworn creamy white with her original vintage hardware and beautiful French curves. We left the interior of the folding top in its original dark finish so the painted surfaces won’t stick together when closed.

We just brought this beauty into the shop today, and before we could even properly introduce her, she was claimed!

And I can see why. At only 13" deep, she has such a beautiful presence without taking up a ton of space — perfect for an entryway, dining room, living room, or anywhere you need a little extra storage and character.

From dark and dated to perfectly imperfect. 🤍
This beauty got a complete cottage-style makeover with a soft creamy white finish, just the right amount of distressing, and her original hardware brought back to life.
I LOVE when the original dark wood peeks through the finish — it gives her that collected-over-time look instead of feeling brand new.
And can we talk about those curves and details?! 😍

I know, I know—it’s HOT outside and sweater weather feels a million miles away. 😂 But behind the scenes, we’re already getting ready for the season ahead.

Sometimes we find things that are just too cool to leave behind. 😍
This little vintage metal purse stopped me in my tracks. The intricate embossed detail, the chain, that unusual closure…pieces like this are exactly why I love the hunt.
Is it practical? Probably not. 😂
Is it ridiculously cool? Absolutely.
