Sharing the Memories from the first Joan Fest (which was called June Fest back then)….
#1: Thank you to everyone who came out on such a beautiful day on Main Street Valatie. All of the merchants truly appreciate your business and we were thrilled to see so many faces on the street.
Main Street June Fest also wants to personally thank:
- Mayor Frank Bevens for his support early on in the process and his help with logistics.
- All of Main Street’s businesses and their staff for showing their ability to pivot quick and work extra hard to come up with lots of good ideas and great food in a very Very short time frame
- Mike and Tom Rivenburg of Reifenberg Brewing for sourcing the live music and generously sponsoring the Darrick Kenny band, awesome!
- Joe Herwick of Beaver Mill Antiques for his instant graphic design, layout and copy from a “sun with triangles” phone call
- Nosh Food Truck for making it work for Valatie even though they had another event committed for Saturday
- Magdalena’s and VBG for cooking it in real life out on the street, Michelle, Zack
- Marks Pizza and Casey for getting the word out on pizza boxes just like Tod did for me when I first opened
- Tierra Farms and Gunther for bringing it back home to Valatie
- And last but not least, Joan Archer of JGA Antiques, without her support, collaboration, legwork and follow through, this event would have never happened.
- We will be coming back, June Fest 2022.....
