This is so true.
Transparency moment:
People always tell me how positive I am throughout this journey that I'm on at the moment. Those times when I'm quiet and not texting update it you just haven't heard from me, 1. Phones work with ways. I'm a texter so I'll see it when I get near phone. 2. I'm REALLY tired and I just don't have the energy to be positive or talk. These are those moments when I just don't have it at all for no one. I'm tired 😩. If I didn't listen to my body at these times having cancer and all these other health issues that we (doctors and myself) haven't begun to address yet because cancer came first, my body will MAKE me listen. Most times this is when I end up in hospital. Not all of the time. I'm DEFINITELY a little more careful but it's a learning experience for real down to what I eat, drink and put on my body.
At some point, a lot of us stop giving detailed updates.
Not because everything is fine.
Not because we're healed.
Not because we've accepted it all.
Sometimes it's because explaining the same symptoms, the same setbacks, the same fears, and the same side effects over and over becomes exhausting.
Silence doesn't always mean we're doing better.
Sometimes it just means we're tired.
