2/26/2026 It has been a couple months since my last post. Winter slows and quiets everything down, including me.
It has been an odd winter of highs and lows, wet and dry, rain, ice, snow…here and across the US. We have been showing the farm for sale, all thru the crazy weather too.
Early edible “weeds” are popping up, onions made it thru leaf mulch and teen temperatures, as did daffodil blooms. The Speedwell popped its blue bloom everywhere but disappeared with old man winter. Saw my first Bluebird a couple days ago 🐦 .
I got out my soil and sieve to shake out some smaller particles for a good snug root hugging medium, to assist seed starts in seed pots. 🌱
I cut up some Yukon gold potatoes to harden for a St. Patty day planting, likely in straw or large pots at our new Mountain Edge home. 🥔
All plants this year I think destined for our new old Mountain’s Edge home.
Here’s a bit of Little Indian Creek Farm these days.
