Grief leaves behind so many things we can see—photographs, letters, familiar places, and the empty spaces where someone once stood. But it also leaves behind things no one else can see: the memories we replay, the words left unsaid, and the love that continues long after a person is gone.
Filmmaker Vivek Pranavamurthi recently invited me to preview his micro-short film, Paper Ghosts. In only a few moments, it captures something many of us who have experienced loss understand deeply: sometimes the people we love are gone from the room, but they are still woven into everything around us.
Paper Ghosts is now available to watch. It’s brief, beautiful, and quietly powerful. I hope you’ll take a few moments to watch it—and then come back and tell me what it stirred in you.
