Our new market provider, Robert Steadward of Kozy Creations and his family know all about overcoming obstacles. He tells us the story “I started this business to help teach my teen daughter not only about business, but to help her cope with her PTSD, anxiety and depression that developed after we had a house fire where we lost everything, including a family pet of 11 years. It was a way that we could connect and help her relax. It quickly became a passion that she wanted to pursue into a business and Kozy Creations was born. We offer hand crafted candles, wax melts, air fresheners, soaps and more. All are pet friendly and toxin free.”

Robert tells us that he spent a lot of time researching, studying and learning about his craft to make sure that We offer only the cleanest products we can and use only premium ingredients that are skin and pet safe. “We are most proud of the quality product we put out and the fact we keep everything pet friendly is huge for us. Giving back is important to us too. Each month, we choose a charity that is near and dear to us, and we donate 10% off all proceeds to that charity. It varies from our local animal shelters, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Judah Brown Project, multiple charities to help our military and more.”

Robert tells us that “Kozy Creations is very much a family business with everyone playing a part. It has become a passion and something both my daughter and I enjoy doing and we are able to do it together while including the rest of the family. I run the business primarily, my teen daughter helps make the candles, while my 12-year-old son also helps with packaging and labeling. Working together as a family has brought me closer to my kids and it is something they enjoy doing as well.”

We asked Robert where else shoppers can find their creations and he shared “We have a Kozy Creations website that people can order from, but there is nothing like setting up a booth at our local markets to provide a product we are proud to offer to our community. The love and the support we receive is a big motivation for us as well to keep going. No matter how long we are in business, the markets are somewhere we will always be, just to enjoy our community.”

We will be at the Alma's farmers market on Saturday June 15th. Come out and see us. We will be showcasing a few if our limited batch candles. Once we sell out, they are gone for good. You won't be able to get them on our website or anywhere else.
