Preparedness and getting prepared looks different for all individuals. While we know we all need food and water, sanitation, and first aid supplies, additional comfort items can vary person to person.
➡️Individuals who utilize glasses need to include a back-up pair in their kit.
➡️People who take medications daily need to include their RX numbers, providing doctor’s information, and at least a 5-7 days supply.
These are just two examples of how you can start customize an emergency kit to fit your needs.
➡️Next add 1-3 changes of clothing, durable shoes, sleeping arrangement items, entertainment for children (toys, books, cards).
➡️And don’t forget your pets!! They need all their needs to be met as well. 🐶🐱

Repost from : A magnitude 7.3 earthquake struck the southern Mexican Pacific coast on Friday, right on the border with Guatemala, and was felt from Mexico City to El Salvador. Authorities have not immediately reported any severe damage or casualties in any country.
The shaking from the quake has been reported as moderate to severe. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center had cautioned that tsunami waves were possible within 300 km of the epicenter. Guatemala had observed a few tsunami waves less than one meter above tide level, and has said the threat remained at low. The PTWC later said any tsunami threat had passed.
Earthquakes and other natural disasters can impact our lives drastically. Being prepared won’t stop disasters from occurring, but with training and readiness, you can be prepared to respond.
