🌿A Farewell Sale
& A New Chapter for Wild Fern 🌿
This is a bittersweet post to write❤️
After a lot of thought, I’ve made the decision not to renew our lease when it ends November 1st, and our Farewell Clearance Sale is happening now through October.
The last couple of years have brought ongoing construction projects all around our location, and unfortunately, the decrease in traffic has had a significant impact on our sales. My instinct was to move before the construction, it was all set! Then after a deal to just lease the bottom floor I stayed in hopes that we would have maybe only 25% less foot traffic/sales -It ended up being 75% less and here we are.
After 10 years of Wild Fern, I’ve had to look honestly at what makes sense moving forward—and decided it’s time to let go of this space.
But we’re also leaving the door open. 🤍
If the right-sized space in the right location becomes available, Wild Fern may find a new little home, we may pivot to online sales, or this may simply be the moment when we say thank you, close this chapter, and allow ourselves to move toward new adventures.
And surprisingly, i’m okay with all of those possibilities.
What I know for sure is how incredibly grateful I am for everyone who has walked through our doors, shopped with us, brought friends and family in, followed along here, shared our posts, and supported this small business over the years. Hugs❤️laughter❤️smiles❤️aunthenticity❤️and open hearted conversations have filled this space with love, joy and gratitude and you can feel it when you walk in.
Ten years is a long time to build something, love it, nurture it, and watch it become part of a community. Wild Fern has been so much more than a store to me, and I’m incredibly proud of what we created.
So between now and October, we hope you’ll come see us, shop our Farewell Clearance Sale, find something you love, and help us celebrate this chapter of Wild Fern.
This isn’t a sad goodbye. It’s a very grateful thank you—and a “we’ll see what comes next.” 🌿
