Community clean-up tools now available for checkout!

With the use of our monthly Ko-fi subscriptions we were able to purchase 10 heavy-duty trash picker-uppers for community use!

Come in any time we're open (Thurs-Mon, 10-5) and check these out from us :) Set out on a neighborhood trash pickup and return them when you're done.

Our Ko-Fi helps support our mutual aid projects like the bi-weekly swaps, , in-store mutual aid lockers supplying home & personal care products to anyone in need, and now - these communal tools so we can all participate in community care.

Activism looks different for everyone. And there are LOTS of different ways to get involved. 

Come meet folks who advocate in our community - learn about them, what they do, and how you can get involved. 

We take care of us, and it starts by building strong connections. 

This month will be a POTLUCK! Bring your favorite dish to share, but most importantly bring yourself! and maybe a chair if you'd like to take a load off.

We'll enjoy a performance by & then break bread and get to know each other.

This event will be outdoors so we're not requiring masks for this one.

Pride is about celebration, visibility, and community—and what better way to honor that than with a Rainbow Swap? 

We're gathering to exchange all things colorful, creative, and full of q***r joy.

What We're Swapping: This swap is all about rainbow everything—but also anything that celebrates LGBTQ+ identity, creativity, and expression.

Please bring items that are:
- Clean and gently used
- In working condition
- Celebratory and kind

Please no clothing or corporate merch.

How It Works: Arrive with your items (any amount, no pressure!)

Browse and mingle. Take home whatever speaks to you. 

Leftover items will be donated to Local LGBTQ+ Organization / Youth Shelter / Drop-in Center so they can reach more community members.

June events!

This month we are hosting some of our favorite swaps! First up, a pride rainbow swap! We're gathering to exchange all things colorful, creative, and full of q***r joy. Keep it celebratory & kind!

We're also hosting a second community care day with . Drop in for some TLC - and we all need that right now. No one turned away for lack of funds.

We also have our advocacy potluck coming up this month. We'll be joined by for a performance and then break bread and get to know fellow activists. This is a low-key no pressure event. Introverts, you belong here too.
moonspdx will be hosting a paper making workshop! A new offering at the community table.

will join us for the first day of the Witchy swap for tarot reading. The witchy swap was one of our absolute favorites last year and we can't wait to gather again to celebrate Summer Solstice.

Last, but certainly not least we'll have teaching her beloved crochet class! We'll need some indoor activities to keep us busy during the upcoming hot summer season!

Summer approaches and we want to help our neighbors stay hydrated.

We are now accepting clean and drinking water ready. Half gallon and gallon jugs with a lid.

These will be used to stock the with safe drinking water for our neighbors throughout the hottest months of the year.

Bring your vessels by anytime during our business hours: Thursday through Monday 10:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Note: these will be used to store clean drinking water. We will not accept vessels that have a residual smell, or are otherwise unsafe to use for this purpose.

Free Composting at Kindred! 🪱

Did you know that we partner with & to bring you composting services for free in Vancouver WA!?

When food is sent to landfills, it creates methane gas - a major contributor to climate change.

We want to make sure that all residents have access to food waste composting to reduce the amount of food going to the landfill!

Bring your food waste to Kindred! Our WeCompost bin is located behind our building next to the

In Q1 (Jan-Mar) we diverted 325 lb of food waste from the landfill! Let's keep it going!

Tag a friend who wants to compost in the Uptown/Downtown area and let them know they can bring their food scraps to Kindred! We even accept meat and dairy in these bins! 💚
