Trade well-loved stories, discover new adventures, and keep the magic of reading alive—for free! 

How it works: Bring clean, gently used books (no torn pages or marked-up masterpieces, please). Take home as many new-to-you books as you like—no trade required! Meet other book-loving folks and share favorite reads.

Why swap? Save money while refreshing your library. Reduce waste by giving books a second (or third!) life. Build community with fellow readers. No fees, no fuss—just free books and happy neighbors.

The leftovers will be thoughtfully distributed to little free libraries, schools and other organizations in our area.

This Friday! We're gathering together to prep supplies for share fair as well as provide details to folks who will be volunteering with us day-of!

This is also our very first Community Membership Gathering! If you joined this - THANK YOU!! We are just one member away from being able to pay for a storage unit so we can continue to accept donations & hand out soooo many goodies during this event.

Potluck details:
If you can only come to this, please do! We'll be assembling first aid kit using donated materials (bandaids, gauze, etc)

If you plan to join us for Share Fair, come to this! We will be going over the map and logistics for our event. This is a great time to learn more, ask questions, and familiarize yourself with the folks who've been working so hard to bring this to Vancouver.

Bring a dish to share if you can. If not, we've got you covered. There will be snacks, alcohol-free bevvies & a small token of our gratitude to take home.

Hi! I'm Eve (Fan of Kindred & volunteer for the upcoming share fair)

And I convinced Alex and Rowen to let me take over Kindred’s socials + newsletter

To raise funds for supplies and tools for future community projects

(Like share fairs, neighborhood beautification, the Vancouver free fridge, and more)

We came up with an idea... Kindred’s NEW community project support membership!

We invite you to become a supporter!

💛 Celebration Nights

Around the solstices & equinoxes, a joyful in-person gathering! Activities, tasty snacks, and the chance to catch up, connect, and celebrate projects. Starting with a gathering on Friday Sept. 11th!

💛 Ask-Me-Anything with Alex

Bring all your questions, drop in (online), and get real human connections to local resources, personalized solutions, and recommendations for using herbs and sustainable products in your life

💛 Chest of Joyful Treasures

Stop in & pick up a joyful little treasure each month! Wildflower seeds, art, pins, crystals, oddities, stickers… Another magical little way for us to say THANK YOU for supporting grassroots community projects!

OUR GOAL is to raise enough funds to cover resources like:

–A storage unit (to store donations between community events)

–Upgrades and maintenance for the Vancouver free fridge (insulation, electrical upgrades, repairs)

–Tools and supplies for community beautification projects (like an upcoming mural project)

–Event supplies (like more used popup canopies and folding tables)

🌼 Support Community Projects

Join the membership for $29 per month

(We chose $29 because it’s similar to a streaming service and will add up to make incredible projects possible!)

🌼 Have the means?

Join the super supporter tier for $99 per month (Super supporters will have the opportunity to contribute something fun to an upcoming art installation!)

🌼 Other ways to help?

We're looking for volunteers, other people/businesses/organizations to contribute to fundraising efforts, or anyone willing to share skills or resources at upcoming share fairs. Have an idea or would just like to connect? Please email us!
