Many of my bangles bangles or earring components have golden areas shining through. People sometimes wonder if patina is already “peeling off” or if the patina “just didn’t take” in those gold areas. But the truth is, I painstakingly buff out those details to create interest and extra glamour to some of my jewelry pieces. It takes time, precision and patience. Those little buffing wheels are not too easy to use. Too much grit and you create lines. Two little grid and you just create dark patches on the patina. Going left to right creates streaks. Going forth and back creates more satin sheen but I will risk creating larger patches than intended.
So this little video is to show that no those golden patches are not a mistake but part of the design and, again, making each piece you own unique.
