Vashon Made Vashon Made features arts and crafts created by Vashon Island artists. This is how the acronym "SAW" came about.

SAW-Starving Artist Works opened Spring of 2012 in the small space next to the Hardware Store Restaurant. When the restaurant was an actual, hardware store, that small space was the saw repair and sharpening shop. After one year the shop relocated to the space next to Café Luna, which is where we are still located. SAW represents only Vashon Island artists and craftspeople, currently about 90. Eve

rything is sold on consignment, and much of the work can only be found at SAW. Starving Artist Works is proud to feature a variety of arts and crafts, including, pottery, wood working, fiber arts, jewelry, painting, photography, glass work and mixed media. In April 2024, SAW changed the shop name to "Vashon Made".
