Just an update-I make my pottery with Highwater clays. Unfortunately, this company lost both its factory in Asheville and its outlet in Clearwater because of Helene and Milton. I only have enough clay for the Venice show in February so I am going to skip my other shows this season.
I know I can get clay other places but my creativity is very low and I’m going to take a break. There are other potters who need to get the clay more than I do.
I’ll be back at it soon. Thanks for all your support through the years! It’s been fun meeting so many of you! Hope to see you in Venice-Feb 1st and 2nd!

I recently took a wonderful online pottery carving workshop with the fabulous Molly Walter (Mogrizzles on Instagram). I made a bunch of baby pots to practice some of the techniques and they came out really cute! I’ll keep building on some of these themes-but part of the course was also about airbrushing colors to highlight the shadows. Can’t wait to try it!! I’ll try to learn this skill over the summer.
Anyway, here are some of the Littles. The bottoms are really nice too!

Just unpacking the kiln today for the Central Florida Orchid show this weekend June 1-2. It’s at the National Guard Armory, 2809 S. Ferncreek Avenue. I’ll have lots of my usual terracotta pots and baskets, too
