Throwback to this yellow and orange Marigold Garland 🧡💛

I just cut off the tops/heads of the Marigolds, and strung them together on a cotton thread- they made a perfect table decoration for my Grandma’s annual Pumpkin Carving Party! 🎃👻

September Babies! 💗
One of the birth flowers for the month of September is the Aster ✨
The word “aster” comes from the ancient Greek word for “star,” due to the flower’s star-like shape.
Asters represent wisdom, faith, patience, valor, and powerful, enduring love 🩵

Today, the last day of August 🧡

“August rain: the best of summer gone, and the new fall not yet born, the odd uneven time.” — Sylvia Plath

Poppies and Gladiolus are the two birth flowers for the month of August- which together symbolize strength, moral integrity, remembrance, and imagination.

I am getting ready for a baby shower coming up, and have been looking through old pictures for inspiration- these photos are from a baby shower I did flowers for a few years back. I was searching my page for these pictures and realized that these flowers never got a permanent post ?!?! What was I thinking?!

Seeing these pictures again, I am reminded of how pretty everything turned out! My dear friend was the host and she had every detail thought of and covered. There was a banquet table with a view of the golf course, elegant place settings, lovely flowers, what a beautiful day!

August and Poppies!
Poppies are one of the birth flowers for the month of August ♥️
The Poppy can be used to symbolize remembrance, peace, sleep, dreams, and imagination.

These pictures are from a few months ago when I was in Seattle and I found a Poppy as big as my head!
