The making of this blanket kept me busy. As a parent that watches their child at competitions and can only be nervous FOR them. But after they perform, THEY are calm but you have nervous energy to spare. Therefore, I make blankets for that cause.

This blanket was given to a performer that I have seen grow with talent and courage amd dedication for a few years now. I plan to continue to cheer her on in the years to come. I met her through her parents at the color guard competitions. They have become great friends.

Turned out great with some fantastic texture. It kicked my tail for sure. For some reason I was not in the counting frame of mind. After attempting that third raised row of texture with "counting issues " I just had to give up and try the next day. This happened for 2 days.. ugh by the third day I got it to work in my favor!!
