What a week and it’s only Wednesday 💔

I made this etching in my printmaking class Pratt Institute in 2008. The fact that it’s still hanging around is pretty remarkable. They broke the mold after 👄

Cleaned out some drawers at the studio last week and sorted through old art. I’m not sure it it’s totally apparent, but each of our products starts out as a hand painted design! After that initial creative work is nailed down, I scan and edit them (thank god) to perfect the form, sometimes change color, add text, resize, etc- and format it to fit whatever it will land on! Maybe a card, keychain, journal, tea towel….and whatever else is coming up next! So here is a little sneak peek at that first step of my process from some of our designs over the last few years. 🎨

Faire Market is ON!
We drop all of our new Autumn and Winter holiday cards in time for this show, so that our resellers have plenty of time to plan out their seasonal buys & displays.
…Believe me, I feel the same designing these cards in May as you do looking at them in July 🙃 New Halloween cards of course- not a big greeting-card-sending-holiday, but my favorite holiday to design for! We’ll call it a Loss Leader.
