A little more wrangling today, while the Blue Angles were practicing, to get that large herd of Walmart carts away of the Burger King ranch and back to their home ranch near Rt 60 and 58th. To my surprise there was a Sam’s Club stray mixed into that herd. Who would have thought they were not compatible, see the picture. Also saw a rustler running off with an unknown cart while I was wrangling, oh the irony! I did not pursue since I had my hands full already. All were returned to their respective ranches. Of course as I was heading home I saw a couple more Walmart strays and I think a Beales but I could not be sure. Maybe I will save them for another day.

Another outing today and found this Publix cart trying to get past the mail boxes by the UPS store on 58th. Walked it back to the ranch and on the way back found a little straggler from Beales. It was not as far from home either but walked it back as well.

Last post, others stated that if everyone pitched in and did this from time to time, we could keep our community from looking shabby (sometimes referred to as 3-D graffiti) with carts laying about due to inconsiderate people that don’t care about the community. I am not here to start fight, I just want to live in a nice place and will do my part to make it, and try to keep it that way. It is just a few shopping carts here and there but not seeing them out and about is a nice feeling.
I did not realize how many are actually out there because we just block them out. My first post on my page, I collected carts for about two hours and didn’t really make a big dent, it seems.
There is a large Walmart herd by Burger King in 58th that I am working my way up to wrangling. Sooner or later they will be returned to the Walmart ranch. If not by me, maybe a new volunteer Stray Cart Wrangler.

While running out for lunch I came across a couple Stray Publix carts that were just off their ranch. I went ahead and wrangled them up and took them to their corral just as one of the cowboys from Publix was rounding others up.

Took some time today to wrangle a few stray shopping carts about and around the 58th and Rt. 60 corridor in Vero Beach, FL.

Captured six Home Depot carts, six Walmart carts, two Dollar Tree, one Lowes, and one Publix.

This was just a couple hours of work to clean up the neighborhood. There seem to be plenty of these strays all around. The Walmart carts seem to be the most prolific strays around and about the area.

A few pictures from today’s little adventure. I never really noticed how many there are around the area.

Inconsiderate people taking them off property, causing corporate loss, which the cost is passed along to the consumer, while leaving them about are eye sores to the neighbors, and these things are not cheap.
