When it comes to permanent anklets, placement can make all the difference in comfort and everyday wear!

My personal favorite placement is just above the ankle bone, around the narrowest part of the ankle. I find that this helps minimize rubbing against shoes and allows for comfortable movement throughout the day. As someone who loves being outdoors, this is especially important to me! ๐Ÿค

That being said, your comfort and personal preference always come first! Some people prefer their anklet above the bone, while others love wearing theirs on the bone or just below it. Your lifestyle, footwear, and whether you want to wear your anklet over or under your socks can all play a part in finding your perfect fit.

This is simply the placement we personally love and recommend!

As your permanent jewelry artist, I believe education and transparency are just as important as the jewelry itself. ๐Ÿค

Some gold filled chains styles can develop darker spots over time, especially around soldered connection points.
Hereโ€™s why this can happen:

โ™ก The soldering process: When a chain is connected, heat is applied at specific points. Depending on the chainโ€™s construction and materials, this can affect the gold finish in that area.

โ™ก Natural wear: Everyday friction, moisture, products, and time can contribute to changes in a chainโ€™s finish.

โ™ก Exposed base metal: On some chains, the soldering process or gradual wear can reveal the underlying metal, which may darken or discolor.

โ™ก Can it be polished? Depending on the metal and finish, gentle cleaning may help improve its appearance, but polishing cannot restore worn-away gold.

Does this mean you shouldnโ€™t choose these chains? Absolutely not! โœจ Is this tarnish? No! Some of these styles are customer favorites for a reason. I simply want you to understand how different chains may wear over time and what to expect from your permanent jewelry.

Every chain is different, and not all gold-filled chains will experience these changes in the same way. Gold-filled jewelry has a bonded layer of gold and generally wears differently from gold-plated jewelry, so I always recommend understanding the specific materials of the chain you choose.

My goal is for you to leave with jewelry you love, realistic expectations, and the knowledge to care for your piece long after your appointment. ๐Ÿค
