Come hang out and read with us! Today, we’re hosting a Banned Books Read-In here at Novel HeARTs as part of Banned Books Week.

Bring a book that’s been banned or challenged, grab a cozy spot, and spend some time reading with us. If you don't own a banned or challenged book, we can fix you up with one. Grab a drink at Emily's, bring a friend, browse the shelves, and/or just come enjoy some quiet reading time with fellow book lovers.

We love books in all their messy, wonderful, thought-provoking glory . We believe everyone should have the freedom to discover the stories that speak to them and be open to new perspectives.

No fancy agenda. Just books, good company, and a little reminder of why reading matters.

We hope you’ll join us as we partner with and Silent Book Club as part of Banned Books Week 2026.

When you shop small, the impact is BIG and stays local:

📚 You support real people who know books and know you
🏪 You invest in your local community
📘 You discover stories you didn't know you were looking for

And yes, you'll still find great value. Just not the kind measured by billionaires. More like the kind that welcomes you with a friendly smile and the kind that is 100% invested in the community.

Small choices shape strong communities. Support local businesses, protect our community's character, and encourage new ideas to grow.

We would love your nomination at Novel Hearts . If the store is selected as one of the 10 stores to be awarded a $5,000 bonus, this would be a huge benefit. The money would go towards expanding the outreach of this bookstore in the community. NOVEL HeARTs works with community to support education, literacy and the arts. We love supporting our school community and creating lifelong readers. A bonus would help us continue the mission of getting books in the hands of all generations.

Break the Prime Day sale habit and build a better bookshelf. One thoughtful pick at a time. Did you know that every purchase at an independent bookstore does more than fill your shelves?. Small businesses support local jobs, local events, and build community. At Novel HeARTs, we believe your next read deserves a personal touch. Let someone who cares guide you to the perfect book that's just waiting for you on our shelves. 📘📕📗📙
