We just got the final attendance numbers from this past weekend, and I truly cannot wrap my mind around them.
More than 29,800 people descended upon our little town of Versailles—with the majority of them packed into about a two-block radius of downtown.
29,800 PEOPLE. 🤯
And I have to take a minute to brag on the people who made it possible at My Darling.
Every single person working alongside me this weekend was a high schooler, friend, or family member. They didn’t bat an eye as nearly 2,000 transactions came across our counter. They smiled, worked hard, kept things moving, restocked, helped customers, and somehow handled a crowd that still blows my mind—especially considering our little building has an official capacity of 18 people.
I am still completely in awe of this past weekend.
It was life-changing for my business, but what makes me even more emotional is knowing it was life-changing for so many small businesses throughout our community.
That is what happens when people show up for small towns.
So once again, THANK YOU. To our community partners, fellow business owners, friends, families, volunteers, and every single fan who drove near and far to spend the weekend with us—you did so much more than attend an event.
You created real, measurable change for small businesses in our little Kentucky town.
29,800 people. One tiny downtown. One absolutely unforgettable weekend.
