Are your petunias getting leggy? We can help! 🌸
If your petunias are starting to look long, sparse, or overgrown, don’t worry—it’s completely normal. The best way to keep them full and beautiful all summer is with a good trim.
✂️ Cut back the long vines to encourage fresh, bushy growth. It may be hard to do, but you may even need to remove some blooms that are already flowering. Don’t be afraid—petunias are tough plants and respond very well to pruning.
🌱 After trimming, feed your petunias regularly (about every 4–5 days) to give them the nutrients they need to bounce back quickly and produce more blooms.
❄️ At the end of the season, cut them back again and move them to a protected area such as a garage before the first frost. With proper care, they may survive and grow again next year.
A little pruning now means healthier, fuller, and more colorful petunias all season long! 🌺
We cut this one back a couple weeks ago, and it is coming back beautifully. So don’t worry, get to cutting! 💖
