🍎 10 Things to Know About Rustic Iron Orchard
Whether this is your first visit or Rustic Iron is already part of your family’s fall tradition, here are 10 things we think you should know about us!
1. We’re family-owned.
Dave & I took over Rustic Iron in 2020, and along with our boys, James & Luke, the orchard really is a family operation.
2. This was a dream for a long time.
I grew up near Vesta, worked at local orchards and studied Agribusiness. Dave has a background in Ag Production and is our resident fixer, builder and mechanic. Together, we dreamed of owning an orchard of our own!
3. FREE admission is important to us.
We want families to be able to come out and enjoy the orchard without paying just to walk through the gate. A few individual activities may have a small fee, but admission is FREE!
4. There’s a LOT for kids to do.
Corn maze, petting zoo, corn pit, duck races, inflatables, trike track, gaga ball, swings, sand play and more. Plus, hayrides and the barrel train on weekends!
5. Yes, we have apples! 🍎
Our varieties change throughout the season, from early apples like Zestar and First Kiss to the always-popular Honeycrisp. We’ll do our best to keep you posted on what’s available each week.
6. No U-pick this year.
Weather gave us a smaller apple crop than normal, so we won’t be offering U-pick apples this season. You can still find fresh-picked apples in the Country Store!
7. Speaking of the Country Store…
Come hungry. 😉 Apples, caramel apples, fresh-baked pies and crisps, jams and jellies, local gifts, home décor, handmade goodies and more await!
8. There’s even more happening on weekends!
Along with our own food truck and weekend activities, we’ll have guest food trucks, local groups and other special additions joining us on select weekends throughout the season. Watch our page for updates on who’s coming and when!
9. We’re open 7 days a week in September & October.
🍎 Monday–Saturday: 10 AM–6 PM
🍎 Sunday: 1–5 PM
Remember, some activities are only available on weekends.
10. We want Rustic Iron to be a place for making memories. ❤️
We’re always dreaming up ways to make the orchard better, but the heart behind it stays the same: good old-fashioned fall fun and a place where families can spend time together.
