On behalf of our mother, Timmie Fedell, we want to thank everyone who helped us celebrate her birthday and retirement yesterday.
We would like to thank Mayor Willis Thompson and State Representative Oscar Denton for their recognition of our family business, Michel’s Record Shop, owned and operated by our father and mother since 1962.
And many thanks to Sheriff Martin Pace and Kim Hopkins with Downtown Mainstreet for their continued support over the years.
To our loyal customers from Vicksburg and all over, we will never forget you and may God bless you all.
We would like to especially remember our father, Michel Fedell, who started the business on his birthday 63 years ago …May 11, 1962. He would be so proud of the musical legacy his family has helped to create for Vicksburg.

Yep it’s time! After 63 years, it’s time for Mrs. Michel to retire. We are officially closing down Michel’s Record Shop in 2025. We are kicking the party off on November 19th with a Birthday Celebration and Retirement party. Come help us celebrate this musical legacy in Vicksburg!
