Pohorence Ventures of New York was started in 2016 as a reorganization of various e-commerce ventures and physical retail operations started by Christopher Pohorence since 2001. The e-commerce division of the company we started in 2001 with selling items on eBay leading to the establishment of an eBay store in 2005 operating under the "Industrial Surplus" banner. s expanded to the Bonanza website in 2014 and the iOffer and Shopify websites in 2016. Beginning in Feburary 2016, the banner was dropped from all sites except Shopify which was replaced with "The Chris P. Other e-commerce sites include the rail signalling and school uniform stand alone sites. Both website were created in March 2016 following a general reorganizing. The orchard, apple processing and retail operation subsidiary started in 2005 with an 80 tree orchard and 1 roadside stand. This operation was reorganized in 2016 with the above mentioned orchard, 2 roadside stands and various wholesale customers. The Esty website uses the "Chris P. apples" branding and web assets but is operating under the e-commerce portion of the company. Etsy website sells vintage items and antiques.
