This one means a LOT to me.

Starting Big Tex Collectibles and building this dream on my own was not easy. There were plenty of people who told me I was stupid for doing this. Some friends even walked away along the journey. There were times when it felt like it was just me, my dream, and my conversations with God. 🙏

But I kept going.

We’re not celebrating these 3 years with flowers and champagne. 🥂😂 This celebration is for EVERYONE who has supported Big Tex Collectibles along the way.

To everyone who has walked through those doors, bought something, traded something, shared a post, brought friends in, donated their time, helped around the store, or simply believed in what I was trying to build…

Some folks really try to deny it or act like Victoria was never fun, never bright, or never had much going on. But if you grew up here, YOU KNOW. 🤷‍♂️

We had Hollywood Video, Blockbuster, Hastings, Toys “R” Us, Tilt, FYE, Game Crazy, and so many movie theaters and places that gave this city LIFE. 🎮📼🎬🧸

Victoria had a different energy back then. The early 2000s were a whole different time, and those places were part of our childhood, our memories, and our culture. ❤️

That's honestly a big reason why I created Big Tex Collectibles. I was inspired by the Victoria I grew up with — the games, movies, music, toys, anime, collectibles, and most importantly, the feeling of walking into a store and finding something that brought back a memory.

I don't want us to wipe out our history or pretend our childhood wasn't a thing. Those memories mattered. And I believe Victoria can still have that life, that energy, and that excitement again. 💯

So to everyone who has supported Big Tex Collectibles locally, and to all the out-of-towners who stop by, check out the store, and see the vision I'm building — THANK YOU. 🙏❤️
