This sound is pretty much the perfect description of Craftcation for us. We look forward to going, but even more than that, we look forward to seeing the people we’ve met there who have somehow gone from “people we met at a conference” to “people we absolutely plan to keep in our lives.” ❤️

The place is pretty great. The people are better. And Nora and I being together is usually just… a whole separate situation. 😂

Okay, I’m definitely still figuring out this whole sun print thing! 😂☀️

I really like how this one turned out, but I can already see what I’d do differently next time. I think I needed a heavier piece of glass (or maybe just a better way to clamp it down) because the delicate stems didn’t get pressed closely enough to capture all that detail.

Every try teaches me something new, so I’m just going to keep playing around with it and see what happens! 🌿✨

Nora turned a mini composition book into a tiny travel journal, and I LOVE this idea! ✈️📓

I think this size would be perfect for anyone who wants to get into journaling but feels a little intimidated by a big notebook. There’s just not that much space, so it feels much more manageable. 😂

Nora’s plan is to collect little things from the places she goes and put them in here. A piece of a takeout menu from a restaurant, a sticker from somewhere she visited, a chopstick wrapper from an Asian restaurant, little things like that. Then she can add a few notes about the place or what she did.

It’s not about trying to fill pages or make it perfect. It’s just a little collection of memories from the places she’s been. ❤️

Now I've just got to find time to finish mine.... 😂

I tried something new today! ☀️🎨

I’ve been wanting to try sun printing, so I finally pulled out the supplies and gave it a shot.

I had a pretty good idea of what I was doing, but since it was my first time, there was definitely some experimenting involved. How long you leave it in the sun, how strong the sun is, and even which direction the sun is coming from can all make a difference in the final result.

I think it turned out pretty cool! And now I’m already thinking about what else I can make with this, which is probably how I end up with 37 new hobbies. 🤣

Life has seriously been lifing lately…this is the first time I’ve painted in weeks. It’s actually the first time I’ve even had a desire to pick up a paintbrush. We shall see if I manage to pick it up again tomorrow

Finally! We’ve got a farmer’s market! I on now I’m not a farmer, but I am a local maker who will be peddling her wares tomorrow, so come out and see me (and all of the other vendors)! I’ll have my 100% soy candles and wax melts, plus some other goodies, including build your own charm bar to accessorize your Bogg bag!
