My Name is Brandie; I am the wife of a soldier and mother of two young girls. My husband and I are new to the Army and have noticed the trend on-base of what are commonly referred to as survival bracelets. After being initially introduced to these I found I had a knack for making them. My first project was to make a matching set for myself, my girls and my husband as a way for the girls to have a

physical expression of their connection with their father while he is deployed or away. After some thought I decided if this could help my family it may just be able to help others as well who are dealing with the difficulties associated with a military life.
