Saturday, August 15th authors Tonnye Fletcher, Jen Fier Jasinski, and Alicia Meyers will be at Oakton Library for an interactive kids event great for grades K-5! Our authors will be previewing their books and kids can explore how instruments work and practice relaxation techniques.

Participants will play music and movement games, explore creativity through crafts, and receive take-home activities! Bards Alley will be on-site selling copies of the books and a book signing will follow. No registration required, so add this to your calendar!

Author P. O'Connell Pearson will be at City of Fairfax Library on August 2nd at 2PM to discuss her new release No Ordinary Women: How Progressive Era Reformers Reshaped America.

This book is recommended for middle- and young adult readers grades 5 and up, and it tells the story of the trailblazing women of the Progressive movement and their work that led to political, economic, and social change that impacts us to this very day.
