🖤💀 MADRINA’S MESSAGE: CLEANSE YOUR SPIRIT 💀🖤

My Madrina came to me with a reminder today:

Just as we cleanse our bodies, we must cleanse our spirits.

Life leaves things on us. Stress, heavy emotions, other people’s energy, difficult situations, negativity, and spiritual heaviness can all accumulate if we never take the time to release them.

Spiritual cleansing isn’t something that should only be done when we feel something is “wrong.” It can be a form of regular spiritual hygiene, a way of keeping your energy, your home, and your spirit feeling lighter and protected. 🕯️

For me, cleansing is part of my daily practice. I cleanse myself twice a day, once at my altar, where I take time to connect with Madrina and intentionally release what I’m carrying, and again in the shower, using that time to spiritually wash away the heaviness of the day.

There is something powerful about standing beneath the water and imagining everything that no longer belongs to you being washed away. 🌿💧

✨ Madrina’s reminder:
You don’t have to carry everything you encounter.

Release it.
Cleanse it.
Leave it behind.

🕯️ THE BÓVEDA , A SACRED SPACE FOR OUR ANCESTORS 🕯️

A bóveda is an ancestral altar, a sacred space created to honor, remember, and connect with those who came before us. It is a place where we can acknowledge our ancestors, keep their memory alive, and open ourselves to the wisdom and guidance they may offer.

Our ancestors are more than photographs and names from the past. They are part of the story that brought us here. A bóveda gives us a dedicated space to say:

“I remember you. I honor you. I am grateful for the path that led to me.”

🕯️ A bóveda may include photographs of loved ones who have passed, glasses of fresh water, white candles, flowers, offerings, and other meaningful items connected to your lineage or family.

And one of the most beautiful parts of ancestral work is conversation.

You can sit before your ancestors and speak to them. Tell them what you’re going through. Ask for wisdom when you feel lost. Ask for protection when you feel vulnerable. Ask them to help illuminate a path when you can’t see which way to go.

Sometimes guidance doesn’t arrive as a dramatic sign. Sometimes it’s a feeling. A thought that suddenly becomes clear. A dream. A memory. A synchronicity. Or simply the quiet sense that you’re not walking this path completely alone.

But remember: ancestral work is about respect, not fear. Your altar should feel like a sacred place of remembrance, gratitude, and connection, not a place where you feel pressured or frightened.

Take care of your bóveda, and in turn, take care of the relationship you’re building with your ancestors. Keep the water fresh. Keep the space clean. Speak to them. Thank them. Remember them.

Because sometimes, when we don’t know where to turn…

we only have to look behind us to find the wisdom that has been walking with us all along. 🕯️🖤

🖤💀 DEATH GETS A BAD REP. 💀🖤

One of the most misunderstood cards in tarot is Death.

When people see that card, they immediately think of something terrible, final, or literal. But in tarot, Death rarely means physical death.

Instead, Death speaks of transformation. Endings. Release. Rebirth. New beginnings. 🥀➡️🌹

Sometimes something has to end so something better can finally begin.

Death can represent:
✨ Closing a chapter
✨ Breaking old patterns
✨ Releasing what no longer serves you
✨ Transformation and personal growth
✨ Leaving behind an old version of yourself
✨ Making space for new opportunities
✨ A blessing disguised as an ending

Death asks us to surrender what we have outgrown.

And sometimes the ending we were terrified of is actually the doorway to the beginning we desperately needed.

Yesterday, Madrina’s message encompassed protection.
