We are open today from 1-7ish AND our new next door neighbors have opened today, Merrie Blossoms Boutique!! Check them out and show them some love and welcome them to the community! It's so great to have another shop in town!! ( can't remember their hours yet but I know they will be open before I get there at 1)

My weekend is coming to an end. What a very blessed weekend it was!!

We were closed Saturday for my family reunion and what a wonderful time i had!!

I wanted to share some videos with you. Several of my Wheaton side of the family came up from Southern Illinois (Anna/Jonesboro area). This is my dad's side of the family. They all are so musically talented and that's from their Pentecostal heritage.

My dad sang and played guitars in bands and recorder a song. My aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents played anything from Southern gospel to rock. My brother Jeff plays and sings in the in Deja Vudu band. They played at the grand opening Saturday at the Maynerich Financial event here in Virden. I took after my mom and play piano by ear which is a blessing too but I'm not the performer that many of my family members are!! My aunt and uncle in her side sang in gospel groups as well. I'm so proud and impressed by all of them.

Why am I telling you all of this? Because family is so important!!! We get busy doing our own thing and time passes and suddenly my cousins and I are becoming the older generation in the family. 😳 Time waits for no one!! I have to confess that a couple times i got teary eyed for family who was not with us this weekend and/or won't ever be again in this life. Dad would have loved that so many can up to be with us this weekend. I sure miss him.

Family is so precious so enjoy them while you have them.
