Time to introduce you to another Whimsy vendor, Wolf Tree Arts. These photos are only a small teaser of what's available from Snowy. She was my first introduction to cyanotypes and I'm now such a huge fan. In the shop, we've got her beautiful work on tote bags, t-shirts, note cards, aprons, napkins, prints, notebooks & journals, bookmarks, cards, eye masks and I'm sure that I'm leaving a few things out. So come check Wolf Tree Arts out at the shop! There's something for everyone.

Just as a side note, the tote bag to the right of the Van Gogh ❤️ inspired one in the second picture is actually a jellyfish 🪼 cyanotype and I just think that's the coolest thing. I have no idea why this hasn't been scooped up. It's so unique and fun. If you're looking for a gift for someone who loves ocean life, this is it!

Here's this week's hours and updates for my friendly Whimsicals. We have shortened hours this week...sorry about that but life happens. Please note, I've canceled Mind Over Body class this month. Fabric organization is happening and I feel like I've finally come up with a good system that's easy to store yet peruse. I'm curating this like a fabric library. There are swatches outside of each bin so you can easily see what's available to purchase and we can cut to the desired size. The smaller pieces, which are sold as is, are going on the black shelf. Also, if you like a good deal on clothes, we've got some gorgeous Fall pieces coming in...very Practical Magic vibes. Think jewel tones and crushed velvet. I will try to behave.

Working on some t-shirts, totes, and other wearable items for the 2026 art show season! This Thich Nhat Hanh-inspired one is created using a hand-carved linocut and an upcycled t-shirt. Catch me for my third year at The Factory Art Market on December 4th-6th. And if you don’t want to wait that long, you can always find my printmaking creations at The Whimsy Mercantile in Virgil!

Hey Whimsicals! The hours this week are different so please pay attention. I'd be sad if you showed up and we were closed. We'll be back to our regular schedule next week. Life happens!

This will be the last week of the $5 summer clothing sale. We've still got a lot of great stuff left in a wide variety of sizes. A lot of it is new with the tags still on. Come take a peek. We also have some nice SU swag in and we'll be getting more Fall clothes in as the days progress.

Also, I've decided to cancel Mind Over Body class in September so please make note of that. Once again, I'd hate for you to show up and we're not doing it anymore. If that's the case, I'll just have to make you exercise with me and nobody wants that! 😃

Time to show off the work of one of my favorite people, Peter Roark. You may find some of his work familiar because he was the artist on display at Hopshire for the month of August. You can find his framed photography prints, wood prints, and metal prints at the Whimsy. I love his flower photos. Wouldn't it be lovely to have their bright pop of color in a gallery wall or have a bunch of flower prints all over the house to bring joy throughout those colder, darker months? Many of his photos are of local landmarks, which is a nice touch for gift giving as well.

Since SoulCollage is coming up this Saturday, I wanted to share the collage cards that I've made in Terry's past classes to give you an idea of what we'll be making. They are precious treasures to me that I now have hanging up in my home, reminding me of good times with friends. Come join us and make your own on Saturday from 11 am to 1 pm.
