❄️ Here’s a fun way to put this week’s rain into perspective…

If all of that rain had fallen as snow using a standard 10:1 snow-to-liquid ratio, some areas would be talking feet of snow instead of inches of rain. The highest “hypothetical” totals would be focused east of our area where the heaviest rainfall occurred.

Of course, this is just for comparison and not an actual snowfall forecast, since real snow totals depend on temperature, snow ratios, compaction, and a lot of other factors.

Still pretty wild to think about. Imagine if this was winter.
