TRANSFER AND CONSIGNMENT NOTICE:

On July 1st, the Virginia assault weapons ban (HB 217/SB 749) will be in effect. As a result, all affected fi****ms and magazines not in possession of a transferee/purchaser will not be transferred. We anticipate that the final week will see an increase in background checks, possibly causing increased delays in approvals and customers who regularly experience delays should plan accordingly. We will not accept inbound transfers of affected fi****ms after June 22nd—those fi****ms must be received in store by June 22nd and any received after that date will be returned AT THE TRANSFEREE’s EXPENSE IN ADDITION TO OUR TRANSFER FEES.

Inbound transfers of Short-Barreled Rifles and Shotguns which will be subject to the ban: To allow processing time for Form 4’s, we will not accept inbound transfers of SBRs and SBSs that would meet the definition of an assault weapon after June 1st-- those fi****ms must be received in store by June 1st and any received after that date will be returned AT THE TRANSFEREE’s EXPENSE IN ADDITION TO OUR TRANSFER FEES.

Consignments: consignees must pick up any unsold affected fi****ms before June 30th (or earlier if background check delay is anticipated). While we will continue to accept consignments of affected fi****ms prior to June 22nd, consignees must acknowledge that if it doesn’t sell before June 30th, they must pick them up.

Transfers of assault weapons out of state or to licensed dealers will remain legal after July 1st.
