WAVY TV 10, WVBT FOX43, and CW Hampton Roads will host a live Operation School Supplies donation event on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Pembroke Square, behind Walgreens in Virginia Beach.

“Every child deserves the tools to succeed,” said Carol Ward, Vice President and General Manager of WAVY-TV. “When our community comes together, we can help ensure students begin the school year with confidence and the resources they need to thrive.”

The annual community initiative brings together local residents, businesses, and community partners to collect new school supplies for students and teachers throughout Hampton Roads.

Donations may include backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils, scissors, tissues, hand sanitizer, wipes, and other classroom essentials.

Supporters who cannot attend in person may purchase supplies through the Operation School Supplies Walmart Wish List, with donations shipped directly to the station for distribution to local students and classrooms.
