This week’s stop: Whole Foods

We’ve been on these shelves for a year and a half now, and we still haven’t told you the full story. It took about a year of nurturing this relationship before we got the yes, and a lot of doors had to open before this one did. Whole Foods was one of the partnerships we wanted most, one we worked hard for, all to bring you the best laundry essentials at your favorite stores.

Every time we walk in and see our products here, it still doesn’t get old.

Root & Splendor is about that joyful feeling of home. So when it came time to paint some art for our shop, we skipped the professionals and asked our 15 year old cousin to paint an old board. No direction, just the essence and vibe of our founder and brand. This is what she made! She sees the world in color, and we’re so proud to let her show it. Watch this name, Audrey Yontz. Hi, my name is Kristin. 👋 I’m a mom of 4 amazing and very active boys and the founder/owner of Root and Splendor.

As I faced mountains of their super dirty and stinky laundry, I searched for laundry products that were both 1) effective and 2) safe. The natural products on the market had no chance at removing their stains, and then I learned that even natural products use ingredients that still aren’t safe. No thanks! (A common misconception is that natural means safe).

About ready to give up on natural laundry care, I decided to take matters into my own hands to create products that met both of these needs. Root and Splendor was born. After five years of formulating alongside chemists and scientists, we created the products you know and love today.
