Hi my name is Dennis Clayton I started designing R/C Aircraft in 1983 with my first design the Shooting Star. In 1995 I started on 2 more designs the FunStar 40 & my first giant fully aerobatic aircraft the AeroMax. The FunStar 40 was featured in the November 1997 issue of RCM reviewed by Jerry Festa. This plane landed me a designing job offer from Great Planes Models. I turned it down with no reg

rets. (This plane was dedicated to my good friend the late John Campbell who passed away in 1995 doing what he loved flying R/C.) The AeroMax took it's first flight in 1997 by the late Frank Mann who finished the airplane with a G-62 installed. This plane went on to be available in ARC form & around 35 were built and sold. Today at the 20th anniversary of the design of the AeroMax I have pledged to bring it back with upgrades in limited production. I look forward in seeing R/C pilots enjoying this great airplane again. Did I mention there are two more aircraft that's on the drawing board? Well there is and I have the designing bug again & these two aircraft are going to make a mark in the R/C world soon.

The first two laser cut kits of the Dream Machine that Jim Rice’s father designed in 1979 are about done ready to ship to Jim!
The original Dream Machine was 48” with main gear on wings. Jim asked me to scale up the plane to 65” for a 20cc gas engine. Also now the main gear will be on fuselage made of aluminum. Picture on box is of old plane when Jim gets these built and I get new photos the label will be updated.
I didn’t redesign plane I re-engineered it for laser cutting and redrew plans. Updated to today’s building standards. Kits will be available of this 65” and the 48” version. If it helps to know I have about 150 hours of parts and plan designing in this kit!

Upcoming "Retro-Series" kits and planes from the past will use this box label layout and color for the kit boxes. Here is the Dream Machine by the Late James Rice that he designed in 1979. The plane will be available in the original size and scaled up size 138% larger making it 65" span for 15-20cc gas.

More to come.

Really happy with how this hatch is coming along for the scaled up Dream Machine. Designed by Jim Rice!
The laser cutting allows very precision fit.

Re engineering a bigger Dream Machine that Jim Rice wanted me to do that his late father designed. The original was 48" this one is 65" with Stinger 20cc. by request. So many changes I will need to do another set of plans. Should be ready to cut in a week or so.
More to come about 5 planes on the drawing board.
