Today is Main Scoop’s last day. 💙🍦

For so many families, Main Scoop has been more than an ice cream shop. It’s been first days of summer, last days of school, after-game treats, birthday celebrations, and those warm evenings when an ice cream cone was all you needed.

Thank you for the memories you’ve created for our community over the years.

As Coney’s gets ready to open, we’re incredibly honored to carry on that tradition by serving the same ice cream so many of you have grown up loving. We don’t take that responsibility lightly, and we’re grateful to be entrusted with continuing something that means so much to Waconia.

We can hardly believe we’re finally saying those words.

From the very beginning, you’ve followed along as this old building transformed into Coney’s. You’ve celebrated the big milestones, encouraged us through the challenges, and shared in the excitement every step of the way.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Your support has meant more than you’ll ever know.

We can’t wait to welcome you through our doors to experience the candy, dirty sodas, ice cream, Swedish sweets, and all the little details we’ve poured our hearts into.

⚓️ The final details are coming together.

Our custom booth is officially installed, and it’s everything we imagined.

A huge thank you to Matthews Vasek Construction for building the custom shiplap bench and J&S Creations for the beautiful custom upholstery featuring nautical stripes, rich cognac leather, and handcrafted leather straps with brass studs.

Finished with our boat-inspired tables and navy chairs, this little corner feels right at home in Coney’s.

Pull up a seat—we can’t wait to welcome you soon. 💙🍦🍬

A candy store in a lake town just didn’t feel complete without a wooden canoe.

This handcrafted canoe was built by a local Minnesota craftsman during COVID, and today we finally raised it into its new home above Coney’s.

With rope, dock cleats, and a little teamwork, another piece of my vision came to life.

We hope when you walk through our doors, you don’t just come for candy or a dirty soda—you feel like you’ve stepped into summer at the lake.

What’s the best that could happen? ✨

I’ve spent more than 20 years building a career in graphic design—creating brands, telling stories, and helping bring other people’s dreams to life.

Now, it’s my turn.

I’m trading computer screens for candy scoops, creative briefs for dirty sodas, and client meetings for a place where people can slow down, make memories, and leave with a smile.

I’m taking everything I’ve learned over the last two decades and pouring it into a little candy shop in our beautiful, history-filled downtown lake town.

People ask if I’m nervous.

Of course I am.

But I’ve realized that asking “What’s the worst that could happen?” has never changed my life.

Asking “What’s the best that could happen?” just might.

Here’s to taking the leap, betting on yourself, and believing that sometimes the sweetest adventures begin on the other side of fear.

POV: You spend hours making something look like it’s been there for decades. 😅

We cut a stencil, whitewashed our logo onto the brick, then sanded it back down until it had just the right amount of character.

The goal? Make Coney’s feel like it’s always belonged in downtown Waconia.

Worth every dusty minute. 🍬✨

Hole 13 just got a little sweeter. 🍬⛳️

We’re out at Taste of Waconia at Island View Golf Course today handing out a little sneak peek of what’s coming to Coney’s! If you stopped by for a sample of our gummy candy, thank you—we loved meeting so many new faces (and seeing plenty of familiar ones too!).

Every conversation, every smile, and every “When are you opening?!” gets us even more excited to open our pink doors.
